Senior High School: College is Fast Approaching

I can feel college is really approaching, so fast like I’m driving. My friends and I had received our results for our CAT or College Assessment Test. and luckily I passed with a score of 118. I am planning to get BS Biology, Pol Sci, Broadcasting, Nursing, and Journalism. Now, I am with my parents talking about the one and true path I will take. My prior course is BS Biology.

I’m getting my B.S. in Biology. I’m a bit afraid because I’ve been told it’s difficult to get a job with just Biology degree. I might be getting a certificate in Forensic Science. I want to have a job after I graduate, but I’m planning for something more. Something that will make me one of the big guys in town. Also I am willing to go out-of-state for my degrees beyond Masters.

BS Biology is a course that is concerned about all aspects of a living organism. From microorganisms, plants, animals and human.It is also related to other branches of science like chemistry and physics. It is also known as a premed course since it tackles all the basics of science.

BS Biology has all my interest, from the field its name what I love the most during my high school years until the researches that I have done in regards with microorganisms and plants.

I am planning to proceed to my doctorate degree. Science PhDs take about 10 years on average, including your bachelors degree. The bachelors degree comes first (4 years), then a masters (2 years) and then the PhD  (about another 4, depends on the person and the program).

I hope this young dreamer will pursue it all.
